A monument shaped by patience.
Drawing from Rajasthan’s miniature painting and royal palace architecture, this creation stands like a sugared shrine.
At its centre rests a hand-painted figure inspired by classical Rajasthani miniatures. Surrounding her, intricate jali work and scalloped arches rise in perfect symmetry. Each element was built using intricate piping technique and vegan royal icing, forming an architectural icing structure that feels both airy and precise.
The palette remains warm and restrained. Ivory and gold dominate, allowing texture to speak louder than colour. Every piped curve mirrors palace carvings. Every lattice reflects heritage craftsmanship.
The process required weeks of quiet focus. Thousands of controlled strokes.
No moulds. Only discipline.
This was one of the many iconic creations through which royal icing artist Prachi Dhabal Deb reaffirmed her place as a contemporary Indian artist preserving heritage through edible art. It reflects her belief that architecture, painting, and storytelling can coexist within sugar artistry.
Stillness becomes strength. Reverence becomes form.
